Giám sát Chà vá chân nâu tại Sơn Trà

Monitoring red-shanked douc langurs on Son Tra Peninsula

Participation in surveys and monitoring of the distribution, abundance, and habitat of red-shanked douc langurs on Son Tra Peninsula. The data are considered alongside vegetation, elevation, and human-pressure information to support long-term monitoring and evidence-based conservation discussions.

Son Tra Peninsula supports a population of red-shanked douc langurs within a landscape also exposed to pressures from roads, tourism, and other human activities. I have participated in surveys and population monitoring to update information on distribution, relative abundance, and habitat during 2021–2026.

Long-term monitoring benefits from considering observations alongside vegetation, elevation, accessibility, and land-use change. Broader studies of terrestrial fauna on Son Tra also provide ecological context for understanding the douc population within the peninsula’s biodiversity.

Website content focuses on methods, published findings, and their relevance to monitoring. Detailed group locations, sleeping sites, and records that could lead directly to animals are not made public.
